We got a patch that randomly showed it’s face on Tuesday the 21st, and it was definitely one with some meta implications. Link to the notes are above (assuming you live under a rock) but I want to highlight a couple of my favorite things that aren’t buff/nerfs to cards. Firstly, Absorbing Man not doing the effect twice on Wong or Kamar-Taj was a bug and that has been fixed. *Celebratory high fives were had*. The location Sakar will now but the card into play on that location after that turn has played out. Allowing for a little more interaction.
These buffs and nerfs also come at a great time because I was interested in learning how to play Thanos, then it just so happens Ordinary Hary wins a tournament with the deck and the card gets a buff. This is where I insert the “nice” meme.
I will take a snip out to list the card changes below. Just incase you don’t want to click that link. Sandman was been making some waves since his change and it doesn’t look like Darkhawk is going anywhere. It will be interesting to see where the meta goes in the coming weeks, and if we see any decks come in to break up the current big three. The smaller buffs that were made to Spider-Woman, Namor, and Dagger are all very welcome. Hopefully these cards find a home or see more play.
Series Drop
accompanying the update patch was a series drop. Seeing all our S.H.E.I.L.D. cards drop into series three, and some very powerful cards (even after nerfing) in Silver Surfer and Darkhawk drop into series four.
Your lovely writer made an uh-oh when I decided to open some of my collectors’ reserves thinking I had until the last day of the month to keep hoarding resources to get a better chance at some of the cards on the drop but that’s ok. We live and we learn. What cards are looking forward to getting a better chance at with the drop?
Featured Locations
Normally for this section of the letter I pull some information that the AMAZING data miners for this game collect. Recently there has been some communication from Second Dinner (I tried to find it to screen shot it, but I dropped the ball) that they would be looking at how they do Hot and featured locations. So, some of the info I am seeing is a bit confusing. But based off what I can find, Wednesday March 1st the featured location will be the Quantum Realm and it only shows being active for 1 day.
This looks like a location you will want to move power to instead of playing cards directly on it. Unless you are play Cerebro 2 in which case this might be your favorite location?
As for the hot location it currently shows “none”. So, while the dev team takes a look at how they want to use hot locations maybe we won’t be getting any?
all info pulled for datamining I get from the marvelsnapzone discord. If you are not a part of it definitely check it out.
