THE PATCH HIT
I repeat. THE PATCH HIT
(Editors note. My apologies readers! This was supposed to be live on Monday morning but IRL things popped up and delayed me a bit. Looking to be back on track next Monday morning)
This past Tuesday the dev team decided to drop the patch on us. To some acclaim but also as with most things some people are not too happy. But like we do every time here at Marvel Snap Weekly. Let’s break this thing down. Full patch notes linked here.
The drop
First thing I want to bring up is the series drop. If you are going completely free to play and haven’t purchased a battle pass now you have a pretty chance of getting Zabu. Even though the card was nerfed not too long ago it still does put in some work and if you find yourself a Darkhawk can really help elevate your deck.
I had saved up around 20 caches before the patch dropped and after opening them and using some of the credits I saved as well I can now saw I’m series three complete fully once again. I am curious if you are reading this are you series three complete or how close are you? Also if you know a good deck with Attuma let me know.
Some shop updates
Everyone across the board is going to be hit with more tokens and who doesn’t love more. This is America where we make “more”. The changes to the shop are really aimed to help those that are not series three complete yet. While a lot of players who have just purchased a battle pass a month since global release should be series three complete or if not pretty close to it free to play players should be really happy about this. I have seen some complaints online on how the shop changes don’t help some of the higher end of the player base. And I agree that the numbers don’t add up for them and hopefully something happens further down the line.
The nerfs/buffs
Again here is the link to the full patch notes. In this newsletter we wont break down every change, but my top three changes are:
Thanos. The mad titan lost a power and is now at 10. But that isnt the real nerf happened to his favorite little blue stone. This change makes it so it cant just move lockjaw to a brand new lane and still have three triggers from lockjaw’s ability.
The copying cards. Mystique, Absorbing Man, and Taskmaster all were changed to if the card they are going to copy is not longer in play the effect wont work. This gives some counter play to the Shuri deck. To where the using Shang-Chi right away on Redskull will really help lower the power output of that deck
Aero. This card was changed so that only the last card you played gets moved. Also she received a power put up to 8. The change allows some counter play against the card though as previously the cards that were moved were random so if you happened to be on the receiving end it was just up to luck.
Hot/Featured locations
The featured location for this week will be Krakoa.
Showing up on the 29th for this location will be sure to cause a headache. Normally I like to list a few tips or thoughts on the location. But since this location is just a mini Agatha/Ego I am not sure what the tip would be. Just pray to RNGesus that it plays your cards nicely. Best of luck to you my friends.
The hot location this weekend will be Kamar-Tag
This will be active on April 2nd. Kamar-Taj should be a location we are all familiar with so I just have two tips for you
Play your favorite on-reveal deck. Wong wants to have a party at his house.
Play Cosmo to ruin the party for everyone else. :)
Next week I am hoping something pops up in the meta to go over and dig into. Thats all for this week. See you later true believers!
